MY2012 X5M receives as standard iPod/USB Adapter (6FL) and power tailgate (316). BMW Apps (6NR) becomes an option with April Production.

Prices of the Z4 have been increased in March by $950. Also,

- the automatic transmission (2TB) on the Z4 sDrive 30i originally priced at $1,375 becomes free
- the price of the DCT transmission (2TC) was reduced from $1,575 to $450 on the Z4 sDrive 35i
- whereas the Z4 sDrive 35is sees its price raised without any impact on the DCT gearbox, already coming as standard
As on the rest of the brand, BMW Apps (6NR) is replacing smartphone integration (6NF) on the list of the optional equipments.

Prices for the 3-Series have been raised by $950 for all trims except for the 335d. The increase is partially explained by the STEPTRONIC transmission (205) that used to cost $1,375 but which now becomes free - optional paddles (2XA and 7XA) remain a $100 option.
Other changes are limited, and include the replacement of the 6NF option with the BMW Apps (6NR), and the disparition of the Sport Package (ZSP) on the coupe and convertible. The M-sport package remains, while its code changes from ZMP to ZM2 and generally offering a different set of wheels.

BMW offers new interface for extended iPhone connectivity.
For the first time following the launch of MINI Connected, the BMW Group is now also offering select iPhone applications for integrated use in a BMW. This capability sees the already extensive range of BMW ConnectedDrive features enhanced by a function hitherto unmatched by the competition. With this offer, BMW is once again underlining its leadership role in the field of in-car integration technology. The new option is designed to improve the integration of the Apple iPhone in the car and will be available from March 2011. The special option will cost $250.
